Book Dev Accelerator is a two-day idea incubator designed to build a clear narrative structure and framework you can use to start your book. We’ll work 1:1 to build your outline in a short time frame so you have a solid jumping-off point to work from. With a developmental structure and sequence of topics in place, you’ll be prepared to draft with confidence. 

Here’s what’s included: 

  • One (1) 90-minute kickoff call to establish your book’s core idea, validate it, discuss your market research, and align your book with your business and goals. 

  • Two (2) 1:1 VIP Intensive days to lock in the idea, sketch out the rough structure for your book, and refine your outline. 

  • Collaboration via Voxer, DMs, and/or email (your choice) during the remaining time to refine, detail, and finalize your outline. 

  • One (1) 45-minute debriefing call at the end of VIP day 2 to close out our time together. 

  • Your book’s finalized, structural framework, delivered in a Word document you can download, edit, and use as you build your book. 

  • A PDF guide to self-editing to help you build out a clean first draft and prepare for editorial rounds, plus guidance on your next steps.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. In order to create an outline in a condensed period of time, you need something solid we can work from. While I can help you refine and position your idea (or even select one of several ideas), this offer isn’t geared toward ideating from square one. It’s meant to build on your existing idea.

  • Yes. While I’m happy to conduct follow-up research during my prep time, I ask that all authors come prepared with their own insights.

  • We’ll have our project kickoff call two to three business days before our first VIP day. That will give me time to gain an understanding of your book idea, your brand, and any research or prep you’ve conducted ahead of time. I also provide the most helpful insights when I’ve taken a little time to process the information I gather. This allows me to come into our 1:1 days fully prepared.

  • VIP days typically last 5-6 hours. We’ll build in plenty of time to take breaks, eat, and decompress.

  • Working remotely gets you the most bang for your buck, in terms of total monetary investment. However, some people prefer to work in-person. I’m happy to arrange travel to work with you, but travel time, transportation, and accommodations will be built into the total price for the work.

  • I invoice in full up-front. Your invoice must be paid no later than 72 hours prior to kickoff. If I have not received payment in full before the kickoff call, your engagement will be canceled. In case of cancellation, you may reschedule for a later date. Receiving payment up front allows me to devote my full time, energy, and attention to creating the best possible framework for your book.

  • All services are non-refundable. Please see my Terms and Conditions below for details.

  • I can’t make any guarantees around your book’s sales success. What I can guarantee is that I will deliver a high-quality outline to help you write the book you’re compelled to share with the world. As with any offer, product, or service, no one can guarantee performance. Remember your why behind the book and stay focused on your goals. If you’re stressed about sales during the first draft, you will sabotage your creative process.

  • No; editing is a separate service. If you’re interested in hiring me as your developmental editor, you can reach back out to me after you’ve completed your draft based on the outline we create.

  • No; ghostwriting is a separate service. If you find that you’d like help drafting your book after we complete your outline, you may hire me to ghostwrite at that time.

  • The state of your draft is a separate matter from the outline we will create during Book Dev Accelerator. If you need 1:1 help refining your draft or would like me to assist you as a ghostwriter, you may hire me for those services at that time. Book Dev Accelerator does not include coaching, editing, or ghostwriting services.
